This game is the Christmas version of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. Both games are essentially the same, with the same rules and gameplay, just slightly different cards.
Santa Cookie Elf Candy Snowman is a Slapping Game
Ordinarily, my family does not play slapping games. I grew up with sisters who took slapping games pretty seriously, so I’ll admit to being jaded. However, we found Santa Cookie Elf Candy Snowman for a great deal, so I figured why not?
As it happens, my kids are much better sports than my sisters and I were. So, we might try more of them in the future. One thing’s for sure; we laughed so much!! All the silly antics as we tried to be the fastest were hilarious; check out the gameplay video below.
How to play the Christmas Version of Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza
To play, shuffle and deal out all the cards. Each player plays one card at a time, saying “Santa” with the first card played, then “Cookie,” “Elf,” “Candy,” and “Snowman” in turn, before coming back around to “Santa.” However, there are many interruptions.
Whenever the card someone plays matches what they say, slap the stack of cards. Whoever slaps last has to take the stack! The first player to run out of cards usually wins, so you want to be fast. Just make sure you don’t flinch, or you’ll have to take the stack of cards.
There are also three special card types in the deck. In this version, they are the drum, star, and reindeer. When a drum card is played, tap the table while saying “Rum pa pum pum.” When a star card is played, put your finger to your lips and say “Sshh!” (Silent Night). When a reindeer card is played, put your hands up to your head like reindeer antlers. Once we got the hang of playing, we had a hard time figuring out who was fastest.
