Donât be fooled by the title; the Dangerous Book for Boys Game is great for all people! Challenges, resources, and stormsâoh my! Youâre stranded on an island with up to three other people and need to make your way off by building a raft. Good luck!

This game and the book itâs based on are actually perfect for anyone of any gender or age. Survival knowledge and skills, flag codes, constellations, morse code, trail signs, logic, and more! While my family has been spending a lot of time at national parks recently and learning all about plants and animals, we havenât done anything with some of these other areas.
Thereâs Some Luck in Dangerous Book For Boys Game
Itâs okay, though, because some of the challenges are pure luck and others just require some logic. The âswimming raceâ challenge is just dice rolls while other challenges involve a game of Tic Tac Toe or Squares. Even without much of the specialized knowledge, we were able to play for about an hour with one of us winning.

At some point, I would still like to work through the Dangerous Book for Boys as a family and play the game some more. Donât fret, though, because the book isnât required to play the game. Itâs just a super cool book that I totally recommend on its own. (And Iâll admit, I like doing well at games. Reading the book would help us do better.)
If your family enjoys wilderness survival or scouting, the Dangerous Book for Boys Game is a total winner! Make sure you check out our other games about the outdoors, too.
